STAR CITY ELEVATORS TODAY
I upload more than just elevators on my channel! In fact, my most popular video on my channel is not an elevator video.
As of today, I have 150+ subscribers, and 60,000+ video views. Star City Elevators is the flagship channel for elevators from Southeast Nebraska, primarily Lincoln, but I occasionally go up to Omaha to film elevators.
ELEVATOR CHANNEL
As you probably guessed, elevators are my primary focus. Elevator videos come in one of three formats:
1. Standalone videos - The most common type of elevator video on my channel - Videos in which I find and film an elevator alone, and often upload raw (no editing). Every now and then, a standalone elevator video may have a cut or two.
2. Meet up videos - Videos in which I meet up with another enthusiast and we shoot dual videos of the same elevator at the same time. Meet up videos are often uploaded raw (no editing). Every now and then, a meet up elevator video may have a cut or two.
3. Star City Elevators- (see below) - Star City Elevators in this sense have some flexibility in their definition. They are elevators that are special or related in some way, and they are all put into one video, or they may be a featured video for one elevator that deserves special recognition in some way or another. I put many hours of meticulous editing into them. Despite the locality of the phrase "Star City," these elevators may come from anywhere.
When I film elevators, I film from the common man's point of view and form my opinion based on ride quality and how well the cab and the button panel are holding up.
Unlike a majority of elevator enthusiasts, I spend most of my elevator videos focusing on the elevator, rather than the surroundings. Some of my older elevator videos have focuses on views from the top or something else along those lines, but I don't do that very often anymore. I do this because I believe if a video is titled to an elevator, than the video should focus on that particular elevator.
I do not consider myself a member of the "elevator community." I merely post videos of elevators because I enjoy making the videos, riding the elevators, and knowing that there is an audience interested in my content. Also, I like more than just elevators.
VARIETY CHANNEL?
I upload more than just elevators on my channel! In fact, four of my top five most popular videos on my channel are not elevator videos. I upload random stuff including vending machines (my primary alternative to elevators), and other random stuff including a spiral staircase, drinking fountains, and a large scale road trip.
I apologize to some hotel enthusiasts who follow the elevator community because other users upload hotel tours, but I do not do hotel tours. This is because I don't get to travel nearly as often as others, and I'm not going to stay at a hotel that's within walking distance.

Finally, here's an example of "Star City Elevators" as mentioned previously.
